Okay so this year is about to stress me out and yeah parents or adults will say oh don’t worry about it. BUT NO I’m going to worry about this a lot because I have to graduate this year and that's tough stuff. Also applying to college really sucks and I have to do that this year and I don’t want to leave my high school at all. Having to leave Ripon is really something scary and I don’t know what I’d do without my friends in Ripon. I want to make this year in leadership my best so far and I’m going to be really spirited because I want to leave the legacy behind of doing what I wanted when I want to. I don’t like not knowing what is going to happen after high school and I hate having to think about it. For school though I’m going to do whatever I want and we’ll see where that takes us this year full sends only.

Quotes I pg.2
“Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying 'I will try again tomorrow."
-Mary Anne Radmacher, American author and artist
This quote is part of what you need to have in leadership. Future students of leadership need to know if they have an idea or they are doing something and they get turned down to bounce back and just because it wasn’t a good idea at that time try again tomorrow. It also says have the courage to put new ideas out there to be analyzed and criticized. This can make an impact on the future because if everyone had this mindset where they would put in an idea and took whatever critiques came their way, this program would be amazing and efficient.
"You miss 100% of the shots you don't take"
-Wayne Gretsky -Michael Scott -Nico Ilardi -Evan Johnson
This is true you miss out on all the stuff that you never even try. Yeah it could be horrible but you'll never even know that you hate it until you try because there’s a 50/50 chance in almost everything that you’ll either hate it or love it so why not spend high school your most vulnerable years and make the best of them not caring what people think of you?
“It’s never the person who you most suspect. It’s also never the person you least suspect since anyone with half a brain would suspect them the most. Therefore, I know the killer to be Phyllis… The person who I most medium suspect.”
-Dwight Schrute Loyal Businessman, Esteemed Beet Farmer, and a good friend
This is what you need to watch out for in life because sometimes it's not the loudest person to surprise you or the most shy person but maybe it's the person who just does enough to fly under the radar that surprises you a lot. This also helps when watching out for a killer if you ever need to guess who it is take this quote into mind.

Goals I pg. 4
For my previous goals I had some really far goals for me to reach. For my two ASB related goals I have to be spirited and to make ASB more efficient. As for my goal to make ASB more efficient I have not. Just like the last goal I’m spirited and we’re going to make this the best year by far so just get ready Morty and I guess we can make stuff more efficient by just being us and outworking our problems, so be ready for a bunch of new ideas
These next two goals were for me to be more involved in school activities and graduate. My other goal for becoming more involved helped me last year bc I felt like that's what helped me get back into leadership bc I helped so often with whatever leadership needed help with and this year I’m way more spirited and I’m actually cheering and dressing up for dress up days and stuff. And since it’s my senior year(even though thats not an excuse) I’m going all out and I don’t think you’re ready for my outfits for homecoming
For my long term goals I had down to get a degree in sports medicine/physical therapy and to be happy. For my mock interview I want to do the same thing but with someone more qualified bc he didn’t really talk about the sports medicine field that much but mostly chiropracting so I definitely want to get a better person no offence to Dr. Herrin. So far I have stayed happy in high school and that’s working out just hanging with my homies and staying happy.

Raised in the rural town of Ripon, California Evan Johnson at first not wanting to be a soccer player, after a while picked it up at age five played through elementary school and through his high school, Ripon High. He also played for the Manteca Futbol Club, and slowly rose in fame after playing in high school and miraculously got scouted for UCLA Bruins from ’21-’25. He then got drafted by the MLS team the San Jose Earthquakes. He set multiple records including most goals in his first five games as a rookie(9), led the Quakes to their first championship (2026) the first since 2003. His soccer career blossomed early earning the Rookie of the Year Award and MVP after the Quakes won the MLS title twice back to back.
Wanting to share his fortune Evan donated three million dollars to a medical research company, and three years later, they had a breakthrough in science this last week. The FDA approved their drug, Anavex, for treating many brain illnesses. This drug targets the Sigma-1 receptor which is the area responsible for most mental illnesses of the brain. He invested in this company after they released information about multiple test subjects going back to their jobs after suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson's, and CTE a growing matter in today’s society as more and more young boys start playing football at such a young age.
He was inspired by his high school buddy Aaron who suffered from a mental illness, clinical depression, and he always said to “Never give up and enjoy life to the fullest even if it makes you weird.”

Listen boy
I don't want to see you let a good thing
Slip away
You know I don't like watching
Anybody make the same mistakes
I made
She's a real nice girl
And she's always there for you
But a nice girl wouldn't tell you what you should do
Listen boy
I'm sure that you think you got it all
Under control
You don't want somebody telling you
The way to stay in someone's soul
You're a big boy now
You'll never let her go
But that's just the kind of thing
She ought to know
Tell her about it
Tell her everything you feel
Give her every reason to accept
That you're for real
Tell her about it
Tell her all your crazy dreams
Let her know you need her
Let her know how much she means
Listen boy
It's not automatically a certain guarantee
To insure yourself
You've got to provide communication constantly
When you love someone
You're always insecure
And there's only one good way
To reassure
Tell her about it
Let her know how much you care
When she can't be with you
Tell her you wish you were there
Tell her about it
Every day before you leave
Pay her some attention
Give her something to believe
'Cause now and then
She'll get to worrying
Just because you haven't spoken
For so long
Though you may not have done anything
Will that be a consolation when she's gone
Listen boy
It's good information from a man
Who's made mistakes
Just a word or two that she gets from you
Could be the difference that it makes
She's a trusting soul
She's put her trust in you
But a girl like that won't tell you
What you should do
Tell her about it
Tell her everything you feel
Give her every reason
To accept that you're for real
Tell her about it
Tell her all your crazy dreams
Let her know you need her
Let her know how much she means
Tell her about it
Tell her how you feel right now
Tell her about it
The girl don't want to wait too long
You got to tell her about it
Tell her now and you won't go wrong
You got to tell her about it
Before it gets too late
You got to tell her about it
You know the girl don't want
To wait, you got to
Tell her about it
This really describes me to sense because I like to hold a lot of stuff in and I fail to make connections sometimes because of that. I need to open up more and be able to share my feelings with my friends who care about me. It helps with the vulnerability and how I treat people. This would definitely make me happier person all around but I can just never find the time to do it. Something inside me just stays shut and I don't know the reason for it.

Some of my most favorite memories have come out of this class and I’d say that, that's a good thing? Maybe I don’t know but one of them is definitely the secret Santa thing this year and I had gotten Laila a gift because why not and I had saved it for the end after we had exchanged gifts. After this I asked her whether she wanted to open now or later because I was going to be embarrassed because I don’t usually express my friendship and so giving her something in front of other people is kinda weird to me at least. So she ended up opening it and she read the card and started to cry so I started getting anxious because I didn’t want to make a scene and she said thanks gave me a hug and screamed when she opened the gift card to Ripon coffeehouse and then she started opening the actual present and (I had wrapped it in a popcorn box because I didn’t have another one) and she when she saw it, she said, I’m going to be so fat over break and she said thank you and put it down and I said you’re really something else if you think I got you a box of popcorn as a present you idiot😂. And so she started to open it and got freaked out for some reason I don’t know. But when she opened it she screamed again because it was socks that said “if you can read this bring me coffee” and she was like thanks thanks and I was happy that she liked them and I knew that she would because she’s a coffee phanatic and yeah so it was a good time making someone else feel good.
Another time was working with my group during the CASL write up and it helped that I had like 50 other things going on at the same time but morty you kept yelling at me to do stuff and said you’re shutting down on me kid and I really wasn’t I just needed that one day of brain rest to get everything in order because even though I like to take stuff down to the wire I have to give my brain a rest sometimes because I hold everything in it like dates, homework, projects, work dates and times, and with all the stuff I was doing I do what I do like once every month where I take an hour to decompress and sort everything in my brain so that I can reorganize and get on top of stuff. And guess what after that I ended up being the best I could and I got all of my assignments done and yeah all the work got done that day and you were left speechless because I’m a god at procrastination and semi-multitasking.
And the last time I had a great time in leadership was probably a time when we were working on the float and we had a bunch of people there to help with posters and cardboard and we had a bunch of different kinds of personalities there. And especially JJ, Seth, Ryan, and then a bunch of leadership kids and then people who usually help out which is a dangerous mix of individuals. So then we all start doing our thing right and they get ahold of the small toddler bikes and they start riding them around and stuff so it’s hilarious to see their knees up to their faces and they start pushing each other all over the place and down the hill and it was funny because they didn’t have anything to support them up and they were flying down the hill and running into each other. And eventually Ana had told them to stop but for that one moment it was hella funny.

Well when reviewing the peers in the class there’s a lot of different personalities that are doing a great job and I should really shout them all out. The freshmen have done such a great job this year with all of their events individually they have stepped it up. The sophomores have made everyone look bad this year with their readiness and their preparation. The juniors have obviously stepped it up this year because they managed to beat us in homecoming which they’ll never let down I don’t think ever so that’s a pain in the butt. For us as seniors I know that we’ve definitely stepped it up in spirit because we literally blew everyone away in Winterfest by a whole 10 points which is pretty amazing, so much so that you almost would’ve had us lose by making the last spirit day worth 20 points and basically the whole bag. So I couldn’t really just review one peer because there’s so many people that have done such a great job this year in leadership and even though you may see the bad in almost everything we do obviously we all have our moments and well I see a great class that I’ve definitely enjoyed this year. Leadership has definitely been my favorite class this year it’s been my favorite class this year and I don’t think it’s just because it’s easy but because I’m actually having a lot of fun in it this year and I can thank the people in the class and my turn in personality by being more outside of the box.

Portfolio 26The ideal leader is a well respected person. They should be mature to a point where they can still have fun, but also get stuff done. They should take charge in times of need, and when no one can’t. They should be able to project their voice so they can be heard, and quiet so the one-on-one times can stay personal. They need to be passionate so they can get their point across and get the attention of all the people around them. They need to be willing to work hard and not expect rewards. They need to also put everything they got into what they work and think so they can be known. You can see people that exert these qualities every day in our leadership class. I know that you can see this behavior in Natalie, Niki, and definitely Kate and Molly as well. I know they all show how great leaders can handle and should handle an extra payload of responsibility and time management. I have great respect for these four in class because they show time and time again that they have what it takes to be not just an ideal but an excellent leader.
